CALI, the Council of Australian Life Insurers, has announced the addition of a new board director and member representative to their organization.
Nadine Gooderick, the incoming CEO of ClearView Wealth, assumes her board director role on July 1, coinciding with her takeover of the listed financial services provider from outgoing MD Simon Swanson.
Currently, Mr. Swanson serves as one of the nine CALI board directors, as stated on the peak body’s website. Joining him on July 1 is Kresh Wright, Head of Life & Health Australia & New Zealand at Swiss Re, who will assume the role of CALI’s newest member representative.
With over 15 years of experience, Kresh Wright has led diverse teams at Swiss Re in various global markets, including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Japan.
According to CALI CEO Christine Cupitt, Ms. Gooderick is a highly regarded figure in the industry and an excellent addition to the organization as it progresses in its role as the trusted representative of life insurers in Australia.
After an extensive tenure of nearly 25 years at RGA Reinsurance, where she played a key role in the company’s expansion into Asia and Europe, Ms. Gooderick joined ClearView in late 2020.
Ms. Gooderick expressed her pride in ClearView’s role as a foundational member of CALI and her enthusiasm for contributing to CALI’s ongoing efforts in promoting the value of life insurance and striving for improved outcomes for Australian life insurance customers and the community at large.
The announcement states that the Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI), which is a peak body representing life insurers in Australia, has made changes to its board. The incoming CEO of ClearView Wealth, Nadine Gooderick, will assume a board director role starting on July 1, in addition to her responsibilities as CEO.
This coincides with her taking over the leadership of ClearView from the outgoing Managing Director, Simon Swanson. The current CALI board consists of nine directors, including Mr. Swanson.
Furthermore, Kresh Wright, the Head of Life & Health for Australia & New Zealand at Swiss Re, will also join CALI as its newest member representative, commencing on July 1. Ms. Wright brings extensive experience leading teams at Swiss Re across various global markets, including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Japan.
